Terkadang saat terjadi kesalahan pada Router, kita diharuskan melakukan reset, baik soft reset maupun hard reset. Dan agar kita tidak kehilangan data konfigurasi sebelumnya, kita bisa menggunakan salah satu fitur penting yang ada di router MikroTik, yaitu fitur Backup dan Restore.
- Backup
Yang pertama, kita akan membahas mengenai backup terlebih dahulu. Fitur Backup ini digunakan untuk mencadangkan data konfigurasi dari router MikroTik, agar saat router di reset, data konfigurasi sebelumnya masih tersimpan dalam perangkat Mikrotik. Tapi yang perlu ditekankan adalah setiap router memiliki kapasitas penyimpanannya masing-masing, dan memiliki batasan untuk melakukan Backup.
Berikut cara untuk melakukan Backup data konfigurasi pada router MikroTik menggunakan aplikasi Winbox.
- Pastikan router MikroTik dengan laptop/komputer sudah terhubung. Dan buka aplikasi winbox.
- Klik pada menu Files.
- Selanjutnya klik pada menu Backup.
Disini kita beri nama file backup nya sesuai dengan keinginan. Pada kolom password dapat diisi jika memang ingin diberi password. Tetapi jika kemungkinan akan lupa passwordnya, lebih baik tidak perlu diisi. Jika sudah, klik ‘Backup’. File backup yang barusan dibuat akan muncul pada menu Files.
